Ministers Association
Jubilee International Ministers Association (JIMA)
Established in 1999, JIMA is an international ministry with an evangelical and Pentecostal distinctive, headquartered in London. We provide a number of administrative and ministerial services such as UK Charity Registration and Ordination for independent churches and ministers of the Gospel. Our greatest service is to the small independent churches and non-denominational ministers. Note however that JIMA services are not available to those outside the UK.
Services Provided
While there is no formal membership, we offer several distinct services or consultancies for ministers and churches. Those who require services other than those outlined must request it in writing, to which we will respond.
While these are further elaborated in the sections that follow, we offer:
- Ordination (Ministerial Credentials)- Fee for single minister or married couple - £240.00
There will be either a 2-year probation, or a 12-month probation for those well known to us - Charity Registration Services
Option 1 - single consultancy (one hour) - £125.00
Option 2 - three-month registration service - £495.00 - Ministry Consultancy - Details on request
- Counselling for Ministers - Details on request
Ordination (Ministerial Credentials)
Ordination is a formal authority to perform all ministry functions for an indefinite period of time. These functions include Preaching the Word, Holy Communion, Weddings, Funerals, etc. Note however that there are other legal aspects involved in the officiating of weddings in the UK, so you need to contact your local government/council authority or speak to JIMA Executive about this.
Ordination is a permanent credential, which means that we are fully satisfied that God has laid His hands upon the individual for a lifetime of service, and we have no real questions about their ministry. It means we are satisfied that the individual has proved his or her calling into the ministry of the Lord Jesus Christ.
We may offer a 2-year Ministerial License instead, to those who do not fully meet the requirements for Ordination or who still need a further time probation to prove their ministry. There will be continual assessment throughout the time the person is licensed as a Minister.
Credentials may be revoked if there is serious moral, sexual, financial or other misdemeanour committed by the minister, and other reparative measures do not seem sufficient.

If you fulfil all or most of the following criteria, you are likely to be approved for Ordination:

(b) Probation:
There is a 2-year probation for applicants or ministers not well known to us. There is a lesser probation period of about 12 months for those with whom we are well acquainted.
During the probation period, there will be a number of meetings between you and your supervisor, normally for update and mentoring. In addition, there will be a number of visits to your church or ministry, some of which will be impromptu.
(c) Application Fees:
£240 is payable as follows. The application fee for Ordination is £40, which is non-refundable. This must be paid along with the completed Application for Credentials form. Once approved, a further £200 needs to be paid, making the total fee of £240. The balance of £200 can be paid by monthly installments of £20 per month or £40 per month, but must be fully paid up at least 3 months prior to the agreed date for the Ordination service.
All fees are payable to “Jubilee International”.
(d) Ordination Service:
If satisfactory, you will be advised of when your probation period is scheduled to commence and likely to be completed, and when you will be ready for Ordination. The Ordination Ceremony will take place either at your church or at a church/venue selected by JIMA. Those being granted a Ministerial License will also take part in such a ceremony.
After Ordination, the minister may then begin to use the title “Reverend”. However this title may not be used by those who are only given a Ministerial License.
Charity Registration Services
We offer a service to assist new or existing churches and ministries who wish to register their church or ministry organisation with the Charity Commission.
The two options are as follows:
Option 1 – Single Consultancy (one hour): £125.00
We give you detailed information and advice within one session on all that you need to know about how to go about registering your church or ministry.
Option 2 – Registration Service (3 months): £495.00
We actively take on the responsibility of registering your charity for you. This will normally be done over a 3-month period. Note however that the Charity Commission may take a lot longer to respond to each application based on their own time procedures, workload and backlogs.
All fees are payable to “Jubilee International”.
Ministry Consultancy
We offer ministry consultancy and help in a wide number of areas. You simply need to communicate your situation to us and we will let you know what help we can offer and what costs there will be, if any. You will need to contact us in writing, giving as much information as you can so that we can assess your case fairly accurately.
Counselling For Ministers
We offer a unique counselling service for ministers and Christians who are going through difficulties like marriage crises. All counselling is confidential and is normally done by ministers of the Gospel who are qualified members of professional counselling bodies such as the Association of Christian Counsellors (ACC) or the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). Appointments
JIMA works on an appointments system, particularly in relation to Ordination applications.
For instance, initial enquirers regarding Ordination will normally be asked to attend an initial appointment before a Credentials Application form is given/sent. A number of appointments will then be arranged by your JIMA supervisor (a member of the Executive Committee). Once your application for Ordination is under consideration, you may also request an appointment from time to time to update us on the progress of or new developments in your life and ministry.
All JIMA applications and enquiries should be directed to:
